Escort Cards vs. Place Cards

First, what’s the difference? Place cards are more formal and are placed at each seat by a pre-determined seating chart to show guests exactly where they will be sitting at the reception. Escort cards are less formal and designate a table, but allow the guests to choose their own seat. Getting creative with escort cards to make them favors has become a popular trend. Having names written in calligraphy on keepsake items – marble tiles, shells, or other items of significance – can get the reception off to a fun and stylish start.

Enhanced Lighting

Few things can transform a venue like lighting. While many venues have terrific lighting features built-in, like chandeliers or sconces, many couples choose to invest in our preferred vendor lighting services to transform each space to its desired effect, atmosphere, theme or focal point. From fun party lights for the dance floor to string lights dangling from tent ceilings or barn rafters, lighting has vast potential to add a magical glow or twinkle to the proceedings.

The grand exit of the couple – either from the wedding venue on the way to the reception, or departing from the reception – is a big moment. The big finish. The sendoff. It’s a culminating event, and, of course, an essential photo op. How to make it shine? What started as traditional rice-throwing, has now expanded to streamers, biodegradable balloon releases, bubbles, sparklers, glow sticks, flower petals and more. You can even have guests ring tiny bells, cowbells or sleigh bells! The possibilities are endless for customizing your dramatic departure, so give it the consideration it deserves.
